Forecast Discussion

We have now hit the 80s the past two days and that will continue at least through the next 7 days. Highs will stay above average and will hit there peak this weekend.

Partly cloudy skies this morning will become mostly cloudy this afternoon. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are back in the forecast after lunchtime. A weak wave of energy is riding around a dome of heat today. Currently a line of severe thunderstorms is working through the Dakota's. This is expected to hold together as it traverses Minnesota this morning and into Wisconsin this afternoon. Most models are taking the worst of this line into southern and central Wisconsin but the Northwoods still will get clipped by some showers and storms. Damaging straight line winds will be the main concern. Wausau and points south are under a slight risk for severe weather while Rhinelander and points south are under a marginal risk for severe weather. This will likely chance several times throughout today. Keep up to date with the latest this afternoon. Highs will hit the mid 80s and it will be noticeably more humid.

Showers and storms will continue into the early overnight hours before moving out of the state. Mostly cloudy skies will remain as winds go calm. A few areas of fog will be possible tomorrow morning.

Mostly cloudy skies tomorrow morning will turn partly cloudy tomorrow afternoon. An isolated shower or storm will not be out of the question. Highs will reach the mid 80s and it will be humid once again.

Looking ahead, upper 80s are in the forecast for this weekend. Daytime heating and lots of humidity means that there is a potential for a shower or storm this weekend. They will be very isolated if any do develop. Highs will stay in the mid 80s with increasing rain chances next week.

MAKE it a GREAT Day!
