Northcentral Wisconsin - The number of new, confirmed COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin continues to fall while other measures remain less encouraging.

Thursday, the state Department of Health Services reported 2,537 new cases, dropping the daily average for the last week to 2,296.

Meanwhile, DHS reports 16 new deaths today. We're averaging about 16 per day over the last month.

In our 12-county northcentral Wisconsin region, the number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is just starting to drop. DHS reports about 140 people in our region have been hospitalized with COVID-19 at any point over the last two weeks.
