The number of new COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin are just starting to come down after spiking when school started.

Data from the Department of Health Services shows that kids are much less likely to have severe cases of COVID-19.

Only about one-tenth of one-percent of kids under age 10 who test positive need to be hospitalized, compared to 20 percent or more of people over age 70.

The biggest problem is when otherwise healthy kids pass it on to people who are more vulnerable.
