The cold can't stop spring sports

Northwoods - The temperatures may have been cold, but the bats were hot throughout the Northwoods!

In Athens, the Blue Jays hosted the Tomahawk Hatchets. A very busy first inning for both teams. Three total runs were scored, but at the end, the Hatchets came away with the win 4-3. Mosinee and Merrill were also in action. The Blue Jays go on the road and beat up on Mosinee 7-1. The Amherst Falcons also came away with a big win against Iola-Scandinavia, the final 5-0.

In baseball, Marathon hosted Northland Pines. Eagles were coming off two wins against Tomahawk, but can't keep the momentum going against the Red Raiders. Marathon wins 11-1. The Medford baseball team continues to win. Raiders went on the road and defeated Marshfield 8-3. Then in Wisconsin Rapids, Auburndale with an impressive performance against Assumption. They win 10-0.
