Wisconsin Rapids -
Normally, a baseball team hiring a marketing manager would be a pretty normal event.

But when the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters of the Northwoods League hired Chloe de Vries in October, they made history.

She and assistant general manager Hannah Jurgens help make up the first majority female front office in Northwoods League history.

"I would hope that other girls, younger girls, would be able to look at this as something that would open their eyes to the opportunities that are out there," de Vries said.

Newswatch 12's Andrew Goldstein caught up with both Jurgens and de Vries to discuss why they love baseball, the barriers they've broken and the message they hope young girls receive about working in sports.
