Northwoods - On Thursday afternoon the Great Northern Conference and Northern Lakes Conference each held their championship cross country meet. In the GNC, the Tomahawk boys team won their second straight team title with Medford's Joey Sullivan winning the individual honors. Lakeland Union's girls team claimed their fourth straight individual winner, as Kate Melms won the girls race, but Medford was too much. They won a fourth consecutive team title themselves.

In the Northern Lakes, Kallie Volk of Three Lakes won the individual conference title with Laona-Wabeno coming away with the team award. The Rebels picked up top runner honors in the boys race from Matthew Seeber and Goodman-Pembine won the team trophy.

In girls tennis, Medford's Brooke Sommer fell in the Division 2 state tournament while Antigo's double pairing of Ellie Preboski and Elli Stank lost their opening match in the Division 1 state bracket.

Medford boys soccer hosted Rhinelander and came away with a 7-0 win for their sixth straight victory.

Lastly, Edgar volleyball hit the road and swept Rib Lake in straight sets.
