RHINELANDER - Signs and flags outside Rhinelander's Office Max advertise big summer sales. Managers say "everything must go."
When the shelves are sold out they won't be restocked, because that store is expected to close September 21.
Office Max will be replaced by Tractor Supply Company.
General Manager Curt Schrage says everyone there will lose their job.
"We've got to start another chapter in our lives and go on to something new," said Schrage.
Despite what seems like a sudden closure, Schrage says employees have known for several months.
He believes changes in how people shop contributed to the store's closure.
"Right now internet is where people are buying things, and it's kind of suffering for the big box retailers," said Schrage.
Everything in the store is up to 40% off right now, but that number could go up.
Even the building's shelves and other fixtures are included in that sale.
