Rog and Guild have had their own moments of tension in the last several months, including a demand
from the alderwoman for more openness and honesty from the administrator.
In his letter addressed to Schauer, Schiek said the incident, while not criminal, more closely resembles a "daily occurrence of miscommunication, mistrust, and hostile work environment."
Rog says she's received texts, emails, letters, and flowers from supporters since news of the incident broke via various media outlets, including Newswatch 12.
"Having lived here and served the City for nearly 25 years, [constituents] are the ones who know me best and I sincerely thank you for your tremendous show of support these last weeks," Rog said. "I look forward to moving forward with city business in the most professional ways we can, given most of the same obstacles remain firmly in place, if not more so. For my part, I vow to do my very best."
