Oneida County Fair preparations: volunteers needed
RHINELANDER - It's never too early to begin preparations for your county's annual fair.

Preparations have been underway for the last few months for Oneida County's 2019 Fair.

Fair Coordinator Tom Barnett has already booked multiple entertainment acts and he's currently organizing the popular "Sexiest Men's Legs In A Kilt" contest.

Now, he's looking for volunteers to help.

"We always need volunteers and this is the time of year we start asking people to start thinking about volunteering for the fair, which is a very rewarding experiencing," said Barnett.

He said he also wants to include more areas of the county to be part of the show.

"The Oneida County Fair is not just Rhinelander fair. It's Oneida County. So we are really looking to get areas like Minocqua and Three Lakes and the rest of the towns in Oneida County more involved with the fair," he said.

Barnett hopes people see the fair as a way to celebrate life in the Northwoods.
