Local fire departments respond to a fire in a man's backyard in Monico
MONICO - Around 4 PM Sunday Monico Fire Department, Oneida County Sheriff's Department and DNR Fire all responded to a backyard fire on Neptune Lake Road in Monico.

"The homeowner was barbecuing outside when he had taken a phone call inside, when he came out the wind kind of picked up and some of the coals onto the ground. The fire spread from there," said Oneida County Deputy Sheriff Michael Baran.

Baran said no one was injured in the fire just damaged to property.
