School bus crashes into pickup near Tomahawk
TOMAHAWK - A school bus crash sent more than a dozen students to the hospital Tuesday.

It happened on Lake Nokomis Road north of Tomahawk after 4 p.m.

The school bus hit a pick-up truck turning out of a driveway.

"It appears a pick-up truck had pulled out of a driveway into the path of the school bus," State Trooper Bryan Wrycha said.

"The tire marks indicate the school bus did try to avoid the crash, but was unable to at this time."

One person taken to Ministry Sacred Heart had to be med flighted to St. Joseph in Marshfield.

We don't know if that's a student or adult.

12 others were treated and released.

The State Patrol is still investigating, but there were no initial charges.

WAUSAU - December brings plenty of holiday markets to shop at.

There are a lot of handmade items and Christmas treats to go around.

Saturday's Makers Market in Wausau provided just that but did things a little bit differently.

They tried to reach a younger demographic and offer them new styles and trends from throughout Wisconsin.

"A lot of the makers here are a little bit more modern, kind of catchy items that I would like to have in my own home and people my age would like to have, too," said co-founder Alex Eichten.

This is their fourth event in the Wausau area.

She said more 2,000 people came out to shop.
