Fire destroys Lac du Flambeau home

LAC DU FLAMBEAU - A fire destroyed a Lac du Flambeau home Monday afternoon. 

Firefighters were called to the home near the intersection of Highway 70 and County Highway D around 1:30 p.m.


No one was in the home when the fire began, but the homeowner told us a cat still had not been found at the time of the fire. 

The home is a total loss. 

Lac du Flambeau, Minocqua, Arbor Vitae and Woodruff fire departments all responded. 

The cause of the fire in under investigation.
