Democrat enters 35th Assembly race Submitted: 05/22/2020
Merrill - The 35th Assembly District will be without an incumbent in November's election, as current representive Mary Felzkowski will be running for state senate.

Two Republicans have already thrown their hat in the ring, and Friday a Democrat announced his candidacy. Tyler Ruprecht of Merrill said his mission is to bring about real solutions for Wisconsinites. He said his number one priority is tackling health care.

"I'm trying to bring real solutions to our real problems and work to build a better future," said Reprecht. "One of the biggest policy issues I want to concentrate on is health care. Health care is an issue that is very close to my heart."

Ruprecht said he wants to end deductibles, something he says prevented his grandfather from getting the care he needed. Republicans Don Nelson and Calvin Callahan have also announced their candidacies.
