- The Rhinelander Hodags' parents gathered this weekend for a Gridiron Club kickoff dinner.
Rhinelander's gridiron club helps pay for uniforms, equipment and the youth program.
Head coach Aaron Kraemer has said that one of his primary goals is program alignment.
He wants the high school team, the younger kids and the parents all pulling in the same direction.
That's what this event was all about.
"It's always wonderful to get together with everybody around our community to celebrate our football program and our successes and the things we have to be thankful for," Kraemer said.
Of course, it was hard not to feel good after Rhinelander's big win against the Lakeland Thunderbirds.
Parents at the dinner said its been a long time since they've seen the Hodags program this excited.
"I've never seen a bigger crowd or a more enthusiastic crowd," gridiron club president Mike Fugle said. "The student section was packed, the parent section was packed, the band did a great job."
Rhinelander will have quite the matchup on their hands this week.
They host fellow undefeated team Wausau East at Mike Webster Stadium.
