Evers Wants Funding Increase For Water Programs Submitted: 05/14/2019
MADISON - Governor Tony Evers wants to increase two clean water programs in the state by almost a combined $18-million over the next two years.

The clean water fund program is currently authorized to borrow a little over $3 billion.

Evers is hoping to increase that by almost $14 million. The safe drinking water program borrows a little over $71 million, and the governor wants to increase that by almost $4 million.

The Joint Finance Committee is scheduled consider the proposal Tuesday.
