Identification of fire victim may take months Submitted: 01/03/2014
Weston - Months may pass before formal identification can be made of the victim of a Weston fire. One person died early Monday in the fire at the Green Acres Trailer Park. Three others were able to get out. Two sisters, ages 13 and 15, were able to escape along with an 18 year old man. The victim is believed to be the mother of the sisters. Everest Metro Police say the identity of the victim may take months to confirm because of the condition of the remains. DNA samples from the family are being sent to the Medical examiner's office to help with the identification effort.
