Madison - People who commit a felony lose the right to have a gun.A Rhinelander man who broke that law will spend three years in federal prison.29 year old Christopher Whittaker had a 22 caliber rifle in his possession in the spring of 2012.He had previously been convicted of felonies including hijacking a vehicle and child abuse.
He pled guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm in February.U.S. district judge Lynn Adleman has now sentenced Whittaker to serve three years in federal prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release.
