GREEN BAY -

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) " Aaron Rodgers connected with Davante Adams eight times for 160 yards and two touchdowns, Green Bay's spruced-up defense fended off a spirited Seattle rally, and the Packers held on for a 28-23 victory Sunday night to reach the NFC championship game for the third time in six years.

Aaron Jones rushed for 62 yards and two first-half scores for the Packers (14-3), who will travel next weekend to take on top-seeded San Francisco.

"This is where it really gets fun. There's only four teams left, and we're one of them, and we've got a legitimate chance," said Rodgers, who went 16 for 27 for 243 yards in his 17th career postseason start. He has 38 touchdown passes in the playoffs, good for fifth in league history

WAUSAU - Treu's Tic Toc in Wausau looks like your average Packer bar.

But one bartender stands out as a little dot of blue amidst the Green and Gold.

Jessica Rainville will be behind the counter at Treu's during the game Sunday and yes, she's a Seahawks fan.

She said that she loved watching quarterback Russell Wilson when he was at Wisconsin and started supporting the green and blue when he went to Seattle.

Even though nearly everyone she serves is a Packer fan, Rainville says things generally stay civil.

THREE LAKES -
Countless early mornings in the weight room, dozens of after school runs and more than a few school records all led up to Friday for Three Lakes track athlete Kortnie Volk.

Volk will be taking her talents to UW Milwaukee to compete in track and field.

She'll have the opportunity to be a heptathlete there, running sprints, distance and doing some field events.

Volk had offers on the table from Minnesota, Wisconsin and the U.S. Naval Academy.

But she says the chance to make an immediate impact with the Panthers won her over.

EAGLE RIVER - Grace Wittkopf's skates first touched the ice at the Eagle River Hockey Arena when she was barely old enough to walk.

"I followed my brothers through it and I'm sure a lot of my teammates followed their siblings," Wittkopf said. "It's just what you do here."

Now opponents can hardly keep up with her. She leads the Northland Pines Eagles with 17 goals and has them out to an 8-2-1 record, their best start in six seasons.

"She just has been working out a lot outside of school, so she's built a lot of muscle," junior Emma Sima said. "She's able to have super hard shots."

WAUSAU - Hundreds of high school curlers from across the state made their way to the Wausau Curling Center for a historic bonspiel this weekend.

Forty-four boys and girls teams competed in the 68th Tietge High School Bonspiel.

Each squad got to play at least three games against all sorts of different talent.

This marks the midway point of the curling season for the athletes.

Tournament organizer and Wausau West curling coach Jim Wendling says this is the perfect tournament for teams to gauge their strengths and weaknesses.

"Once they come to a bonspiel like this, the kids have so much fun, the enjoy it and they have a great time," Wendling said. They are eating, they are sitting around socializing with other kids, learning aspects of the game and knowing where to bring their game and what has gone well. All of those things hook them into curling for life."

Five north central Wisconsin teams competed..including Medford, Mosinee, Wausau East, Wausau West and D.C Everest.

West and Everest both won an event championship.

The high school state tournament is coming up in February.
