Safe Today. Healthy Tomorrow. is a virtual speaker series being offered for free to the community this October by a partnership: Aging and Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin, Aging and Disability Resource Center of Portage County, Aspirus Health, Marshfield Clinic Health System, and North Central Area Health Education Center.

Wisconsin has the highest death rate in the country due to falls by older adults. Every 11 seconds an older adult in the U.S. is admitted to an Emergency Department for a fall. When: Every Monday in October 2021 from 2:00-3:00 pm

Topics:
•October 4: Boost your Balance: Strength, balance, flexibility exercises for keeping you active and upright.
•October 11: Simply Your Safety: Devices or technology to help you in your home.
•October 18: Winter Mobility: Walking, driving or shoveling: simple ways to stay safe in the land of ice and snow.
•October 25: Being Mindful about Medications: What does your prescriptions have to do with falls? Turns out… a lot.

22 23 Stand-Up Comedy Night at The Haven ( Rhinelander)

Stand-Up Comedy Night at The Haven ( Rhinelander)

10/23/2021 - 7:30 PM- 10:30PM
Event Location: The Haven- 5325 Lake Julia Rd Rhinelander

We have an amazing headliner!
Rob Brackenridge, an Appleton native who has been featured on Comedy Centrals "Stand-Up , Stand-Up", and "Make Me Laugh" , the Bob & Tom Show and has been in many commercials. Rob tours regularly for the U.S. troops on the Miller Lite "Lite Laffs" program, and has performed in 10 different countries and most of the 50 states.
Getting us started is Steve Hartman . Steve used to sell fire trucks, now he is a stand up comedian. His high school guidance counselor didn’t tell him those were options; she said he’d have a successful career as an underachiever. Steve's sardonic optimism oozes positive energy while he skewers life’s absurdities. To Steve the glass is half full and ready to spill. When it does, the result is a memorable performance and a journey into a world were we are all the punchline.
Your Emcee for the evening is Jerry Lanhedo, a native of Illinois who has made his home in Rhinelander. Jerry frequently does his stand-up comedy the Skyline Comedy Club in Appleton.
Additional Side splitting Comedians appearing on Saturday include:
Korey Strike
Ray Roberts
Kyle Kubitz
Join us for an evening of chuckles, laughs and an overall good time!
