- Thursday the Rhinelander Armory will look like a war-era hospital.
No one is being treated, but rather helping others who will one day need medical help.
The Hodag MASH blood drive is an annual event put on in Rhinelander by the Community Blood Center.
Donating blood is always important, but especially during the summer months.
"This time of year is really tricky for organizations like ours. The summer months cause a challenge as far as people are on vacation, schools aren't in session and it's kind of a backburner issue for people donating blood. But the need for blood doesn't take a break," said Spokesperson Tyler Sjostrom.
The drive runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at the National Guard Armory, 1136 Adams Way.
You have to be 17, or 16 with a parent's permission, to donate blood.
Donors will get a t-shirt and lunch.
