Record Satellite feeds.

Job Title: News Producer\MMJ          08/12/2019
Job Duties:
WJFW seeks applications to fill an opening for a newscast producer\multimedia journalist. This is an entry-level position for someone who wants to grow professionally. News Producers select, write, and edit stories for our regularly scheduled news programs. They also write and post news material to our website and social media outlets. There is deadline pressure. Thinking and communicating clearly and accurately are mandatory skills. Producers must be steady, confident team members. Dealing with news sources effectively online and on the phone is required.


Qualifications:
Applicants must have an interest in news and current events, strong writing skills, and a willingness to learn how to edit digital video.

Online and social media reporting skills are required for this position. You must have a valid driver’s license. All applicants considered for an interview will pass a rigorous writing exercise before being asked to visit. Grammar and spelling are critically important skills.

The successful applicant will likely be an avid viewer of television news.

A college degree in journalism,liberal arts or communications is preferred. Related work experience requiring writing, organizational skills, and collaborative creative involvement will be considered favorably.

WJFW wants to find the next news reporter to join our hardworking, energetic team. We hire people who show great potential and help them grow quickly while they work with us. Our reporters come up with their own story ideas and report, shoot, write, edit, and present their stories on-air. The successful applicant will demonstrate the potential to do all of those things well. We look for people who can go on the air and be conversational, appealing, and professional. Live reporting from the field and on-set are necessary everyday parts of this position. Fill-in anchoring skills will be important.


Qualifications:
Applicants should have a four-year college degree focused around journalism or communications, but other majors/minors will be considered.

Job Duties:
WJFW, the NBC affiliate for northcentral Wisconsin, wants to find a news director with energy and vision to lead its newsroom.

Newswatch 12 promises best-in-class training and opportunities to entry-level video storytellers.
