Job Duties: WJFW is looking to add a highly motivated Local Sales assistant to our team! This individual will work closely with the General Sales Manager and the local Account Executives to secure and process orders. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to –
- Creating sales materials for the sales team
- Processing any order changes or make goods to on air schedules

Qualifications: The ideal candidate would be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, have the ability to work independently as well as on a team, and have some previous office experience.

Our reporters come up with their own ideas and report, shoot, write, edit, and present their stories on-air. The successful applicant will demonstrate the potential to do all of those things well. We want an anchor that can oversee and guide reporters’ work. We want this anchor to have on-air presence that is conversational, appealing and professional. Live reporting from the field and on the set are necessary everyday parts of this position. The ability to produce news programs is required. Living and working at your craft in the Upper Midwest is something you’ll never regret nor forget. The landscape is scenic and spacious with four true seasons and thousands of freshwater lakes and river systems. Local news is alive and well here. Breathe fresh air and never experience a traffic jam.
Qualifications: MMJs with 4-5 years of newsroom experience are encouraged to apply. Less-experienced candidates will be considered if they show strong evidence of having the required skills and training to succeed in the position. Applicants should have a four-year college degree focused around journalism or communication. To win an offer, applicants will need to perform well in tests of news awareness and writing ability. Job Duties:

WJFW -TV seeks applications for a newscast producer opening. This is an entry-level position for someone who wants to grow professionally. News Producers select, write, and edit stories for our regularly scheduled news programs. They also write and post news material to our website and social media outlets. There is deadline pressure. Thinking and communicating clearly and accurately are mandatory skills. Producers must be steady, confident team members. Dealing with news sources effectively online and on the phone is required.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have an interest in news and current events, strong writing skills, and a willingness to learn how to edit digital video.

The successful applicant will likely be an avid viewer of television news.

A college degree in liberal arts or communications is preferred, but not required. Related work experience requiring writing, organizational skills, and collaborative creative involvement will be considered favorably.

Job Duties: Newswatch 12 has an exciting local sales position available in our Wausau office. We are seeking an extraordinary individual with a strong desire to succeed. Account Executive duties include developing new business and managing existing accounts for WJFW NBC 12, Antenna TV, COZI TV and wjfw.com.

Newswatch 12 is the NBC affiliate serving the Wausau-Rhinelander viewing area. We are the home of the Olympics, Sunday Night Football, Today Show, NBC Prime, Saturday Night Live, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy. 
Qualifications: Candidates should have excellent writing ability and strong verbal communication skills. Be goal oriented with a strong desire to succeed.
