The Ibarras are selling the Rusty Nail, to the disappointment of many.
"I'm sad about it closing, they were the two best bosses I ever had," said Gary Ramsey, who's been the bar manager for 17 years.
"This place is iconic in Rhinelander, you know, everyone's going to be sad," said Terrell Travis, who worked at the Rusty Nail for seven years.
It's sad for Ibarra too.
"It is hard. A lot of these people are our friends and it is hard," said Ibarra.
Many former employees and regular customers made a point to stop by.
"To come back and see everybody here enjoying their time and all getting along, it's beautiful," said Travis.
A beautiful ending, with a few jokes thrown in.
"You're a good friend, you're a great guy," said longtime customer David Reis to Ibarra. "We're gonna miss you, but your food not so much."
Laughs aside, people wish the best for the restaurant's owners.
"We're happy for them and we love Rachelle and Emilio," said Travis.
Ibarra is excited for the future, but he says he will miss seeing all the customers and employees that have stuck with them all these years.
"I cannot say enough," said Ibarra. "I can just thank them, I mean they supported us through all this time and hopefully they support us again someday you know, you never know."
Ibarra says he and Rachelle aren't too sure what they will do next.
