Portion of HWY 8 reopened after two-vehicle crash causes hours-long shutdown
RHINELANDER - A portion of Highway 8 reopened after a two-vehicle crash early Friday afternoon caused it to be blocked off for roughly 4 1/2 hours.

A semi-truck and pickup truck crashed around 1 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 8 and Crescent Road.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says the semi driver had no apparent injuries.

The other driver suffered injuries and was transported by ambulance and then a helicopter to a hospital.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting with the investigation of the crash.
