IRMA - The assaults at Lincoln Hills keep piling up. This weekend inmates attacked three employees in two separate assaults.

One happened Saturday morning. The other attack was Saturday afternoon.

All three employees were treated for their injuries and released.

The Department of Corrections says both attacks are being investigated by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and the DOC--and inmates could face prosecution.

A DOC spokesman says, "More than ever, these incidents demonstrate why it is critically important for staff to have options and tools to protect themselves when necessary."

In July, a federal judge ordered staff to cut back on the use of pepper spray, handcuffs, and solitary confinement.
