LAND O' LAKES - Even though it may not feel like it, Autumn has officially begun. Plenty of towns in the Northwoods celebrate the season with a colorama.

This weekend Land O Lakes is hosting its colorama. Land O Lakes has held a colorama for about 35 years.

This year the event included "Fall Family Fun" at the town Pavilion. The family fun included a pie contest, cookie decorating, bobbing for apples, and live music.

There was also a Radar Run and an Art Harvest event going on in town.

"Because they wanted to do it the same day we wanted to work together with them so we're all just trying to bring people to town and have fun. And I think it's turning out really well," said Land O' Lakes Chamber Director Casei Riedy.

On Sunday, the colorama will wrap up with a meal from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ely Memorial Church.

Minocqua Brewing Company is hosting a " Tango, Tapas, and Tempranillo" wine dinner Tuesday night.

Getting culturally creative with food can be tough during a slow tourism season.

That's why learning about new cuisine and sharing it with the locals is the chef's favorite part.

"I have used Chimichurri for fifteen years, but to actually research and find out where it came from and the story behind it is kind of cool," says Chef Scott Conley.

Minocqua Brewing hosts a wine dinner and cooking class each month.
