WAUPACA - A central Wisconsin family hopes you can help find a teenager who was last seen several days ago. The Waupaca County Sheriff's Department says Andrew Robinson, 15, took his father's gray 1996 Toyota pickup truck Wednesday night and didn't come home.
Robinson's father thinks he may be hanging out with a new group of friends near Marion.
Waupaca County Sergeant Tim Wilz says the sheriff's department is treating the case as a runaway, not a missing person's case, at this time. Wilz says finding the truck without Robinson in it would lead them to put out a missing persons' alert.
The sheriff's department put out an Attempt to Locate to the surrounding counties. Wilz says Robinson has never made any suicidal comments, but it's possible the teen has a gun that his father sometimes keeps in the truck.
The pickup truck's license plates are Wisconsin MA-4507.
If you see Robinson or the pickup truck, call the Waupaca County Sheriff's Department at 715-258-4466.
MERRILL - A Northwoods school pulled off a big surprise on Friday to honor a few veterans. After months of planning, students and staff at Kate Goodrich Elementary got to see the payoff of all their hard work.
"It was like kind of overwhelming," said Wolfgang Lenk.
Lenk, Todd Annis, and Randy Perry had no idea they would be the guests of honor.
"To see all these kids and knowing how hard they worked selling all this, and now your name comes up that you're one of the three recipients, it was awesome," said Annis.
