Wausau West Looking to Keep the Improvement UpSubmitted: 08/16/2014
Story By Nolan Blar

WAUSAU - Wausau West finished 2-7 in 2012 and improved to 6-4 in 2013. The Warriors look to keep the improvement going into the 2014 season.

On Friday Wausau West hosted a five game scrimmage and head coach Kevin Grundy liked how the team performed.

"Very physical, they got the job done up front at the secondary level and at the linebacker level," said Kevin Grundy, the head coach at Wausau West. "I thought they looked really good and offensively too, I thought with our first group in there."

Coach Grundy discussed the toughness of the Wisconsin Valley Conference.

"With the VFA North and the VFA South it's definitely tough," Grundy said. "There's nothing easy about it but that's the way we want it."
The Warriors open up this Friday against Marshfield in Wausau.
