Crandon's Brush Run this weekendSubmitted: 06/27/2014
Story By Joe Dufek

CRANDON - The 21st annual Brush Run gets underway tomorrow at Crandon's International Off Road Raceway.

It's the first of three big weekends of racing in Crandon this summer.

Friday's weather prevented the drivers from practicing.

Students from Crandon Middle School had a field trip to check out the trucks, the tires, and the drivers.

Jeff and Keegan Kincaid are the popular father-son tandem from Crandon. Last year, they earned wins on their home track shortly after Jeff's father passed away. A definite highlight of racing there.

"When I started racing, my dad definitely helped get me there," Jeff explains about his father. "It's a progress of life and it's great to see my kid (Keegan) coming up. We do miss him. It's great to be racing again and honor him a little bit."

"It was hard on my dad," Keegan - Jeff's son adds. "It was a real close moment for me and my dad. It's a small town, so everyone knows everyone. It's like no other race we get to go to."

Action Saturday morning gets underway at 10am. Racing starts at 9am Sunday morning.
