Semi-pro football kicks off in the NorthwoodsSubmitted: 05/04/2014

RHINELANDER - Football fans know the NFL draft is this week. But there's also a new chance to get your pigskin fix, in the Northwoods. Semi-Pro football has arrived in Rhinelander.

The Tri-County Timber Wolves will be making their debut this week.

They're a new member of the Mid-West football league. The Timber Wolves are a non-profit, community based organization. It's full fledged tackle football, with an 8 week regular season.

Players are 18 and older and come from many different backgrounds.

The Timber Wolves first game is Saturday, May 10 at Rhinelander High School at 7 pm. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children.

They still have plenty of positions to fill.
