MADISON - Unemployment rates dropped in most of Wisconsin in March.

The state Department of Workforce Development released numbers Wednesday.

Unemployment was down in all but three of the state's largest 32 cities.

Rates are down in all but six of Wisconsin's 72 counties.

Several counties in the northwoods had rates above 10 percent.

Iron County had the highest rate in the state, at 13.1 percent.

Vilas County was at 12.1 percent, Forest County at 10.9 percent, and Oneida County at 10.1 percent

Statewide, unemployment last month was 5.9 percent, its lowest level since 2008.
