Big Ol' Fish - Mar 27Submitted: 03/27/2014
Story By Joe Dufek

- Here is 6-year old Hunter VanZile of Laona. Recently, he went fishing with his dad and cousin Mally - also known as Cousin Mallard on Lake Gogebic. Using a Swedish pimple tipped with a wiggler on a jig pole, hunter caught his first perch. 15 inches. This prize is getting mounted.

Not to be outdone, check out the walleye reeled in by 6-year old Robert Irey of Adams. While fishing with his dad and friends on an area lake. Robert caught this 28-inch prize. It weighed 9 1/2 pounds. It's his biggest walleye yet. He was using a golden shiner on a tip-up. I'm told Robert does not let type one diabetes stop him from enjoying fishing with family and friends. After the picture, the fish was released.
