WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Precision, showmanship and high flying action. All of these things made for quite a show at the state gymnastics tournament.

After an exciting Friday night of team competition, today the focus shifted to individual championships.

Antigo had 2 competitors in the all-around in Division 2.

Red Robins senior Lindsay Berndt was the top Northwoods athlete in the vault and the All-Around. She finished tied for 17th in the vault. She tied for 13th in the All-Around.

Chequamegon's Alexis Stueber qualified in the vault. She placed 25th in the event.

And Katelyn Kondzela was 20th in the All-Around for Antigo. Her day included a 10th place showing on the balance beam, 14th on the floor, and 21st on the vault.

In Division 1 Kali Schierl of SPASH was 21st in the All-Around. The freshman had 17th place showings in both the vault and uneven bars.

Congrats to all the gymnasts at state.

Tau Kappa Epsilon president Thomas Kreinbring was charged Friday with possession of a prescription drug without a valid prescription, keeping a drug house and other charges.

MILWAUKEE - A former Mukwonago police officer convicted of robbing a bank while he was still on the force has been sentenced to nine years in federal prison.

44-year-old Alvin J. Brook robbed a bank in 2010 while brandishing his police-issued handgun, and made off with $54,000.

TOWN OF MAINE - Fall won't officially start until Monday evening, but that doesn't mean fall activities haven't hit the Northwoods.

You could find people zipped up in fleece jackets trying to find their way out of a corn maze Sunday. This is the 15th year Willow Springs Garden held its corn maze in the Town of Maine.

They started this to raise money to restore the old town hall.

"We wanted to restore it. Not for sure what we were going to use it for at first, but then the community kind of indicated to us that they want to use it," said Willlow Springs Garden Owner Peggy Griffin. "We created it to host family events, wedding, reunions, anniversaries are going on there today."

TOWN OF LITTLE RICE - A man died in a UTV accident on Gobbler Lake Road in the town of Little Rice.

Deputies in Oneida County think the driver of the UTV missed a curve in the road and left the roadway. It happened after 10:40 p.m. on Saturday.
