Fog delays Baumgartner's Olympic eventSubmitted: 02/17/2014

SOCHI - Men's snowboard cross has been postponed due to heavy fog and low visibility and rescheduled for 1:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday. For Tuesday's competition, there will be no seeding runs. Instead, athletes will compete in the finals with their seeding based on their current FIS ranking.

Iron River native Nick Baumgartner is listed second in the first heat. This is his second trip to the Olympics. He finished 20th in Vancouver back in 2010.

MERRILL - Three people went to the hospital after a crash near Merrill.

The call for help came in to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department at 7:00 Tuesday night.

The crash happened at the intersection of Highway 64 and Maple Road in the town of Pine River.

Investigation showed an 80-year-old Merrill man was making a left turn onto Maple Road.

He turned in front an oncoming car driven by a 66-year-old Deerbrook man.

Both drivers and a passenger were taken to the hospital.

Injuries were not believed to be life threatening.
