MERCER - Two people died in Mercer when a fire burned a home.

The Iron County Sheriff's department says the call came in at 5:45 last night.

Mercer Fire and Rescue rushed to a home on Old Highway 51 Road in the Town of Mercer.

The home was completely engulfed in flames when firefighters got there.

A 37 year old woman and a 24 year old man were pronounced dead at the scene.

Names will not be released until family members can be told.
