WISCONSIN RAPIDS - The Riverview Hospital emergency room reopened late Saturday night.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Riverview Hospital emergency room will remain closed indefinitely.

That's because a car crashed into it Saturday afternoon.

Police believe the driver of the car had a medical emergency.

The car crossed divided highway and a sidewalk.

It then hit a tree before crashing into the emergency room.

A hospital employee and three others inside the building suffered minor injuries.

They are being treated at Riverview Hospital.

The driver also has minor injuries.

He was taken to St. Joseph's hospital.

The emergency room has water and structural damage.

Riverview hospital is sending incoming emergency patients to St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point and St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Wisconsin Rapids police are investigating the crash.
