Story By Lauren Stephenson

WOODRUFF - A man jumped out a window Thursday afternoon to escape a fire in Woodruff.

Woodruff, Arbor Vitae and Minocqua firefighters responded to the fire.

It started in the kitchen of a home on Forest Circle.

A man and woman escaped the fire.

The man told firefighters he woke up to smoke.

It took him 10 minutes to get out of the home and call 911.

Oneida County EMS treated the man for minor injuries on scene.

Firefighters said there is a lot of damage to the home.

A neighbor told us this was the second fire in a little more than a year on the street.

A home two doors down burned last year.
