ORLANDO, FL - The Oneida County Sheriff's Office confirms the missing inmate from a Northwoods prison has been found in Orlando, FL.

Todd Brecht had been missing since noon on Tuesday. He walked away from his work release job at the St. Germain Golf Club.

Brecht was serving prison time at the McNaughton Correctional Center in Lake Tomahawk for a 1985 murder of Buffalo County District Attorney Roger Hartman.

"I would like to thank all agencies for their cooperative investigative assistance, which lead to the apprehension of the suspect," Sheriff Grady Hartman said in a press release.

According to online documents, Brecht was up for parole in March.

The state charged Brecht with a felony for escaping on Thursday.

We'll have more information tonight on Newswatch 12 Weekend.
