Hodag volleyball wins in Wawrzynowicz returnSubmitted: 09/10/2013

RHINELANDER - Tuesday was an emotional night at Rhinelander high school. Longtime coach Kathy Wawrzynowicz was back on the Hodags bench. She stepped down shortly before the season. There was a medical issue with the family.

Kathy will be an assistant with the team.

Before the match, the school presented her with a continuous service award. Kathy as you can see very touched. She even received a standing ovation.

Paul Mildebrandt is the head coach this year.


Rhinelander faced conference foe Lakeland. The T-Birds won the first game.


But Rhinelander's Lexi Haug had 41 assists.

The Hodags would go on to take the next three games to win the match three games to one.
