MADISON - Wisconsin's four interstates and Highway 41 to the Fox Valley are the roads most likely to have 70 mph speed limits.

That's if a proposal to raise the speed limit passes the state Legislature.

A preliminary report from the state Department of Transportation was released by Assembly Speaker Robin Vos.

He is backing Republican Representative Paul Tittl's proposal to raise the speed limit.

Republican Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald has said he has no plans to bring up the measure any time soon.

Governor Scott Walker's administration has been noncommittal.
