Story By Associated Press

MADISON - Hunters who need a little help can get it.

Wisconsin wildlife officials are reminding disabled hunters to find sponsors by the end of August.

That's so they can participate in a special fall deer hunt.

The Department of Natural Resources plans to hold its annual deer hunt for the disabled from October 5th through October 13th.website.

Hunters must sign up with a sponsor by September 1st to participate.

Sponsors can be property owners willing to allow disabled hunters on their land.

A sponsor can also be someone willing to get permission from a landowner to let a disabled hunter onto the property.

Hunters can find a list of sponsors on the DNR's website.
