Hundreds compete in See Me Tri Submitted: 08/10/2013

MINOCQUA - It takes a special kind of person to be a tri-athlete.

Swimming, biking and running all individually take a great deal of endurance but when you combine them, it becomes the
ultimate challenge.

Over 300 competitors came out for the 4th annual Minocqua Triathlon.

There were 2 courses- a shorter sprint version or the Olympic distance. The event was staged at beautiful Clear Lake in Woodruff. For the Olympic athletes, the course included a 1500 meter swim, biking almost 25 miles and finished with a 10K run. Does it make you tired just thinking about it?!

They are hoping to raise close to $10,000 and the money is spread around to several area organizations including rotary and church groups.

But the main event is all about testing yourself.
