MANITOWISH WATERS - Alcohol and speed might have triggered a deadly crash near Manitowish Waters.

The Vilas County Sheriff's department got called out at 1:13 this morning.

The wreck happened on Powell road near Alder Lake road.

Deputies found a Chevy pickup truck had slammed into a tree.

The jaws of life had to be used to get the 20 year old driver out of the truck.

The Vilas County Coroner pronounced him dead about 2:15 this morning.
