Bond set for driver in fatal crashSubmitted: 07/23/2013

STEVENS POINT - The driver in a Portage County crash that killed two women will have to pay 25-thousand dollars bond to get out of jail.

The 22 year old man made his first court appearance yesterday by video from the Portage County jail.

The driver will return to court August 5th for formal charges.

He was was arrested after crashing his pick-up truck into trees Saturday in the Town of Linwood.

Melissa Peterson and Stephanie Eberhardt were back seat passengers and were killed in the crash.

Both women were 21 years old.

A front seat passenger, a 21-year-old Rudolph man, was airlifted to a Marshfield hospital.

He's in fair condition.
