NEW YORK - The American League shutout the National League. 3-0 was the final of last night's All-Star Game in New York.

Shortstop Jean Segura and Outfielder Carlos Gomez are representing the Brewers.

Both were reserves for the National League. Also making the team is Auburndale's Jordan Zimmermann - starting pitcher of the Washington Nationals. He did not play with a neck sprain.

Segura was substituted in the sixth inning at short. He helped turn two double plays - one in the seventh and one in the eighth.

Gomez went into the game in right field in the seventh.

Both Brewers grounded out to New York Yankees relief pitcher Mariano Rivera in the eighth inning. Rivera was the game's MVP.

Brewers begin a weekend series hosting Miami on Friday at Miller Park.
