Temporary Highway Closure in Marathon Co.Submitted: 06/23/2013

MADISON - Drivers in Marathon County will need to find an alternate route for part of Wisconsin 98.

The highway will be closed from 5:00 a.m. Monday morning, until 7:00 a.m. July 2nd. Crews will be reconstructing the railroad crossing at the intersection of Wisconsin 98 and Wisconsin 13.

Highway 98 will be closed from 73, 39 and 13.

The Department of Transportation warns it could take longer if the weather doesn't cooperate.

BOULDER JUNCTION - Downtown Boulder Junction could look a little different in a few years. The Boulder Junction Town Board voted 2 to 1 to move onto the design phase of a town plaza project Tuesday night.

A handheld cellphone ban for work zones starts statewide Saturday.  Drivers will not be allowed to make or answer phone calls while in work zones unless they use Bluetooth or some sort of earpiece.

MARENISCO - The saga of a potential Northwoods water bottling plant may end in the Upper Peninsula.

Throughout the year, plans to build a water-bottling plant--first in Minocqua, then in Presque Isle--failed.
But the plant popped up again in Marenisco, Michigan.

"We're all just happy it's here," said Marenisco Township Chairman Richard Bouvette. "We're pretty excited Presque Isle turned it down."
