Highway 51 Construction ExpandsSubmitted: 06/20/2013
Story By Ryan Michaels

MERRILL - Drivers can expect to run into more construction on Highway 51. The project is moving further north.

Construction started this week between Highway K in Merrill and Highway S in Tomahawk.

The highway will remain open for travel. But lane closures will slow traffic to 55 miles per hour.

The road crews will resurface the north and southbound lanes. They're also working on the on and off ramps at Highways K and S, repaving shoulders, and completing routine bridge maintenance including skid control surfacing.
