Clark happy to be Hodags Girls Hoops CoachSubmitted: 05/21/2013
Story By Joe Dufek

RHINELANDER - Monday night, former Northland Pines boys basketball coach Ryan Clark was officially hired by Rhinelander High School.

Clark takes over as the Hodags girls basketball coach.

Clark was also hired for a teaching position. He will be
a special education teacher.

Clark coached 8 years at Northland Pines. Back in February, Clark was reinstated for one more season. That reinstatement came after alot of community support for the coach. However he was forced to make several changes to his coaching methods. After looking at the school district's expectations, he decided to resign in March.

Clark once applied for the boys baketball positions at both Rhinelander and Lakeland. Now he's happy to finally join the Hodags.

"Excited," was how Clark described the opportunity. "Very Excited and thrilled to have this opportunity. I lived here for the last seven years. To coach in this program, this school, this community is awesome."

"The one thing that stands out to me when I look at hiring, how do the players respond," adds Rhinelander Athletic Director Charlie LeHam. "Even when you're losing, they like the coach. He made it fun, he made it worth while. He must have taught (Northland Pines boys) something and vaulable lessons in life. That's what I look for."
