TNT Speedway to open SaturdaySubmitted: 05/15/2013
Story By Joe Dufek

THREE LAKES - Racing begins at TNT Speedway this weekend.

The Three Lakes track will have opening night on Saturday.

Final preparations are getting done at the track the next few days.

It's also the return of Tim and Patti Rutzen as the track owners. A group of 7 racing enthusiests ran the track last year. But the group decided it was best to go another direction. Tim and Patti still hope to sell the track at some point.

This will be the 19th year of racing at TNT.

The Rutzens are excited to be back after a year off.

"I think it's going to be great," says Tim Rutzen. "Patti and I are looking forward to a great season. If the weather cooperates, we'll be able to Saturday night start racing. The break we had was really nice last year. I think what we missed the most is all the friends we've met over the 19 years. I still, as many years I've been doing this, I still enjoy a good race. I'm looking forward to it."

Hot Laps Saturday night begin at 6:30pm. Racing starts at 7:15pm.
