Story By UW-Marathon Co. Athletics

WAUSAU - The UWMC Huskies announced their recruiting class for next year. Two players from the Great Northern Conference have committed to joining the men's basketball program: Jonathan Nyberg, a 6'5" forward from Tomahawk and Brandon Piotrowski, a 6'5" forward from Mosinee.

The Central Wisconsin -10 conference is providing three student–athletes for the Huskies. Rosholt's Max Yenter (6'1" shooting guard) and Josh Studinski (6'1" guard) have indicated their intent to attend UW-Marathon. Gresham's Brady Hoffman (6'2" forward) is the third CW-10 player to commit. . Additionally, Weyawega-Fremont's Bryce Behn (6'4" shooting guard) has signed. Wega-Fremont is a CW-8 conference school.

UW-Marathon is coming off an unfamiliar 2nd place finish in Western division of the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference (WCC) with an 8-2 conference and 11-9 overall record. The addition of this new group should help bring the Huskies back to prominence in WCC play.

"These guys are all good students with great basketball skills" remarked Huskies' head coach Bill Gibbs. The Huskies will return 8 members of the 2012-13 campaign, 4 with starting experience. "This group coming in will have plenty of opportunity to contribute. I look forward to the elevated level of competition we can create" remarked Gibbs.
